7 WOMEN, 3 MEN, CASUALTIES OF SWEDEN MASS SHOOTING

Orebro City, Sweden — 7 women and 3 men aged between 28 and 68 were the confirmed number of casualties from a school attack regarded as the worst mass shooting in Sweden.

Police confirmed on Friday the victims, who were killed at an adult education centre in Orebro City on February 4, 2025.

The authorities refused to disclose their identities and any other details about them, aside from the confirmation that all of the victims lived in Orebro.

While the authorities are yet to disclose the victims’ identities, information about some of them were confirmed by their families or through media reports.

On Friday, authorities also confirmed that the suspected gunman responsible for the mass shooting was a 35-year-old man from the area. The Swedish media previously named the suspect as Rickard Andersson.

Authorities reported that the suspect had killed himself inside the school.

According to the police, the suspect owned four rifles legally—three were found inside the school after the shooting, alongside 10 empty magazines.

As of the last reports, the motive of the gunman remains unknown.

The attack on Tuesday is the first school shooting in the nations, and is now regarded as its worst mass shooting incident.

Following this, the Swedish government is planning to strengthen and revise country’s laws, especially when it comes to purchase and ownership of guns.
