Only 1% of the population favors the change of the constitution based on the latest survey released by OCTA Research.
Survey said 73% have voted for the administration to controll the increase in prices of basic goods and services and accesst to affordable food like rice, vegetables and meats as well as creating more jobs.
With the current push of several lawmakers to change the 1987 Philippine Constitution, minority leaders in the Congress have slammed the on-going people’s initiative and the constitional convention.
Gabriela Partylist Representative Arlene Brosas has called the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to address the majority of the needs of Filipinos specifically the increase in wages, importation and should improve mechanism to reduce the prices of basic commodities.
According to ACT Teachers Partylist France Castro, she said majority of the Filipinos knew that Charter Change will not change the status of the economy of the Philippines.
And Kabataan Partylist said these push only refers are politicians initiave and not from the public.
