South Korean actor Song Joong Ki and his wife, British actress Katy Louise Saunders, are expecting their second child together, according to multiple reputable news sources.
The couple’s agency, HighZium Studio, confirmed the pregnancy in statements to various Korean media outlets, including News1, Sports Chosun, and Star News. However, the agency declined to provide details on the expected due date or the gender of the baby, stating that these are private matters.
Song Joong Ki and Katy Louise Saunders tied the knot in January 2023 and welcomed their first child, a son, in June of the same year. The actor shared a photo of his hand shortly after the birth on his fancafe.
In a recent interview with JTBC’s Newsroom, Song Joong Ki spoke about fatherhood and the traits his firstborn had inherited. “First, I hear often that his lips look a lot like mine. I hear that most often. I think around 8 out of 10 people tell me that. So, I tend to observe his lips closely,” he said.
The actor also expressed his happiness and the strong partnership he shares with his wife in raising their child. “My wife and I are enthusiastically doing a good job together. We cheer for one another, and I think it’s something that makes me proud. So, these days, I’m bursting with happiness,” he added.
Last month, Song Joong Ki was spotted enjoying a family outing at a park in Korea, strolling with his wife and son. The actor graciously clicked pictures with his fans and requested them to maintain privacy about his family.
