MANILA PHILIPPINES – Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna announced her intention to run in the 2025 midterm election as the city’s mayor for her second term.
According to Lacuna-Pangan and Servo they will file their certificates of candidacy in October.
During the monthly media forum of the Manila City Hall Reporters’ Association (Machra) at the Harbor View Restaurant in Ermita, Lacuna-Pangan expressed confidence that there will be no change in the leadership in the city after the 2025 midterm elections.
The mayor also said that he and Servo remained confident in their position because of their successful programs for the millennials during their entire term.
Meanwhile, it is said that the assistance provided by the city government would have been increased if the city government were not paying a P17.8-billion loan left behind by the previous administration.
It also mentioned some of their projects where school buildings have more classrooms
than what is actually needed, based on the student population.
On the other hand, Servo said that he was proud to be his work partner and run with him where he inspires him because of the quality of its work.
The vice mayor also mentioned his dedication to duty and efforts to benefit the city and its residents.
