Bato, Bong Go Named by ICC as Alleged Co-Perpetrators in Duterte Drug War Case

MANILA, Philippines — Several high-profile political figures have been named by the International Criminal Court (ICC) as alleged co-perpetrators of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

In a document released by the ICC Office of the Prosecutor, it was stated that between Nov. 1, 2011 and March 16, 2019, Duterte and his alleged co-perpetrators shared a “common plan” to neutralize suspected criminals in the Philippines.

This including individuals allegedly involved in illegal drugs, through violent acts such as murder.

Those identified as part of the alleged “common plan” include Senators Ronald dela Rosa and Bong Go, as well as other members of the Philippine National Police and senior government officials.

The confirmation of charges hearing against Duterte is scheduled for Feb. 23, 2026 in connection with crimes against humanity linked to the administration’s anti-drug campaign.
