MANILA — The crowd at the Big Dome in Quezon City erupted in cheers as Nation’s Girl Group BINI and the Kings of P-pop, SB19, performed together at the Puregold ‘Panalo Natin ‘To’ thanksgiving concert on Friday evening.
A highlight of the night was SB19 member Justin’s surprise dance performance with BINI during their hit “Salamin, Salamin.”
“Memorize niya! Walang nagturo. He did not need us,” BINI member Maloi remarked in an interview.
BINI Stacey expressed gratitude for the support from SB19 members, sharing, “When I scroll and nakita ko naka-live siya, napapakinggan ko music na tugtog— puro BINI.”
The excitement peaked when BINI members Gwen, Stacey, Sheena, and Colet joined SB19 on stage for the chorus of their megahit “Gento.”
“It became more memorable because nakasama natin BINI,” Justin commented during the concert.
BINI Colet reflected on the collaboration, saying, “‘Di ito first time. Masaya lang ‘yung ngayon bumabalik talaga. Angatan talaga. Makita ng mga tao, masaya talaga nag tutulungan. P-pop rise.”
SB19’s Pablo, Josh, and Ken also joined Flow G, another main act for the event, during his performance of “High Score.” Gloc-9 and Skusta Clee performed alongside Flow G as well.
The concert featured other performers, including Sunkissed Lola, Esay, and Kahel, among others. Fans praised the artists for rekindling their passion for OPM and elevating Filipino talent on the global stage.
“Ramdam na ramdam mo pagiging Pinoy sa kanta nila,” A’TIN Ine said.
“Mas na-appreciate namin OPM. Noong nag-start [ang] BINI nabuhay OPM. Imbis na K-pop, mas naging ahead na P-pop,” Bloom Belle added.
BINI Jhoanna urged fans to support not only their music but the entire local music scene. “Hopefully makatulong ito sa fan wars talaga ng mag-end na. Magkakaibigan kami,” she said.
Maloi added, “Gusto namin buong OPM industry umangat. Grateful ginawa kami ni Lord instrument ikalat ang musika ng Pinoy.”
