Calamba, Rizal- The city government warned the public against potential scams related to the Residenza Rizal Housing Project under the government’s National Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) program.
Mayor Roseller Rizal said there are reports of scammers posing as government officials, preying on the Calamba area, who want to avail of affordable housing.
Rizal also reminded the public that all transactions for government housing applications in Calamba City are exclusively processed through the Housing and Settlements Department of city hall, with no online transactions or third-party facilitators.
Highlighting the main benefit of the project, the Calamba mayor mentioned that those who wish to buy housing units get a 5 percent interest subsidy from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development.
The mayor assured that the processing of housing applications is free and no down payment is required.
The payment for the housing project will start when it is said to have been given a unit to live in.
