CHINA DENIES DIRECT MEASURES AGAINST PH PERSONNEL

Manila Philippines — The Chinese government stands that Coast Guard personnel only took appropriate action against military troops and the Philippine Coast Guard  personnel at the Ayungin Shoal.

At least nine Philippine Navy personnel were injured due to harassment, gun grabbing and assault by CCG personnel during the Philippine’s resupply mission in Ayungin Shoal.

China’s Foreign Ministry called the Philippines’ resupply mission as illegal.

It is said that the China Coast Guard personnel enforced there so-called law in the South China Sea.

“The law enforcement action taken by China Coast Guard on the scene was professional and restrained and aimed at stopping the illegal “resupply mission,” according to Chinese ​Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian.

China also denied that they had harmed Philippine personnel, and was accused of bringing construction materials to the BRP Sierra Madre.

“China Coast Guard did not take direct measures against the Philippine personnel,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.

In the photos and videos shared by the Armed Forces of the Philippines, footages shows the use of force by Chinese Coast Guard personnel against PCG and AFP personnel.

Likewise the illegal confiscation of firearms from the military troops.

The military equipment and vessels obtain severe damage caused by CCG personnel, including the damaged of navigation machine of a rigid hall inflation boat of the Philippines.

Yesterday the Department of Foreign Affairs filed a diplomatic protest against the Chinese government.
