Classes Suspended Across Several Areas as Tropical Storm Enteng Approaches

MANILA – Several local government units (LGUs) have announced the suspension of classes on Tuesday, September 3, due to the impact of tropical storm Enteng.

The suspension affects all levels of education in the following locations:

  • Angeles City
  • Aparri, Cagayan
  • Aurora
  • Batangas
  • Botolan, Zambales
  • Calanasan, Apayao
  • Cavite
  • Concepcion, Tarlac
  • Dagupan City
  • Hagonoy, Bulacan
  • Iba, Zambales
  • Ilocos Sur
  • La Paz, Tarlac
  • La Union
  • Laguna
  • Malolos, Bulacan
  • Metro Manila
  • Naga, Camarines Sur
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Nueva Vizcaya
  • Pangasinan
  • Paniqui, Tarlac
  • Quezon
  • Ramos, Tarlac
  • Rizal
  • Santa Maria, Bulacan
  • Tarlac City

Meanwhile, certain areas have restricted the class suspension to elementary and high school levels only:

  • Baguio
  • Pamplona, Cagayan
  • Pura, Tarlac
  • Santa Ignacia, Tarlac

In addition, Malacañang has ordered the suspension of classes at all levels in both public and private schools and has halted work in government offices in the National Capital Region and Calabarzon.

Tropical storm Enteng is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Wednesday.
