Manila, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) will delay the implementation of the latest resolution setting guidelines for survey firms on the 2025 Elections.
Commissioner Rey Bulay said that the poll body will study again the provisions under Resolution No. 11117 which states the mandating of survey organizations to register and report with Comelec
This is to consider the suggestions and recommendations raised by stakeholders and survey firms during a meeting with Comelec on Thursday, which revealed provisions of the resolution which needs amendments.
This includes the mandatory requirement for pre-registration, extent of reports they should submit to Comelec, and such.
While they take into consideration the stakeholders’ recommendations, COMELEC will be working on the necessary revisions and amendments, hoping to complete it after two weeks.
