Manila, Philippines – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) already received all 110,620 automated counting machines (ACMs) from South Korean provider Miru Systems on Wednesday, November 27 for 2025 Midterm elections.
“As an experienced election provider, we understand the importance of delivering on the government’s milestones. We are proud to have finished delivery of our new and more sophisticated machines, and will continue to work diligently with the Comelec as these machines undergo strict quality control and security tests,” Ken Cho, vice president of Miru Systems, said.
“Mas maaga ang delivery, mas maaga din ang hardware assessment tests,” Comelec Chair George Garcia lauded.
The official South Korean-based firm also delivered 600 additional machines as contingencies at no extra cost.
Meanwhile, all machines and peripherals are undergoing hardware acceptance tests.
Yet Miru Systems assured that “so far, none of the machines that have undergone hardware acceptance testing have been rejected.”
On the other hand, both the stress tests and the source code review are still ongoing.
Comelec has also begun training election board members and will hold mock elections and roadshows from December 2, 2024 to January 30, 2025 to familiarize voters with the new system.
