DBM OKd ₱875M for DSWD Quick Response Fund

Manila, Philippines – The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has approved the release of ₱875 million to replenish the Quick Response Fund (QRF) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), following President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure disaster response readiness.

(We immediately acted on this to ensure disaster funds are available, as directed by President Marcos)

The fund, sourced from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (NDRRM) fund, will support relief efforts for families affected by recent typhoons of 2024.

The DBM noted that the DSWD’s QRF balance dropped to ₱557.77 million, triggering the need for replenishment under the 2024 budget.

(This fund is a big help so that the DSWD can continuously provide assistance to the families affected by the typhoon)
