DENGUE CASES CONTINUE TO INCREASE IN SEVERAL BARANGAYS OF QUEZON CITY

Manila, Philippines – The Quezon City Government continues to record dengue cases in its covered barangays.

According to the 7-day distribution data from the Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Division, District 2 has the highest contribution to dengue cases in the city, followed by Districts 6, 3, 1, 4, and 5.

Leading the barangays with the highest number of reported cases are Batasan Hills, Payatas, Commonwealth, Holy Spirit, Pasong Tamo, Bagong Silangan, Tatalon, Baesa, Matandang Balara, and Pansol.

In the past seven days, from August 16 to August 22, dengue cases increases.

In total, from January 1 to the present, there have been 7,325 validated dengue cases in Quezon City.

It is estimated that cases this year are 155% higher compared to 2024.

Meanwhile, Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4 in Quezon City remain at below alert level, meaning they are still far from being at risk due to dengue.
