Media day is all about the different NBA teams having fun, to build chemistry, and of course, to take photos of themselves.
It is also Kevin Durant’s 37th birthday (September 29), and it couldn’t be more fun and enjoyable.
He was traded this offseason from the Phoenix Suns to the Houston Rockets, while his contract is about to expire the next season.
At media day, he was asked if he will extend his contract in Houston, as if he will not be extending, he will only spend one year on the team and be a free agent next season.
“I do see myself signing an extension. I can’t tell you exactly when it’ll happen, but I do see it happening,” Durant’s response at media day.
Durant is known as a pure scorer, yet he is not to be underestimated on the defensive end. With his 37 years of age, his body might want to slow it down a little bit. The presence of the youngsters Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson will most certainly take some pressure off of him.
He is considered as one of the pure scorers who touched a basketball, and fans are looking forward to his return with the new gang he’s playing with in his 19th year in this upcoming 2025-2026 NBA season.—Kyle Basa, Eurotv News
