EALA PULLS THROUGH AGAINST KATARZYNA KAWA ON SOUZHU OPENER

Alexandra Eala once again pushes her determination as she beat Polish foe Katarzyna Kawa in the first match of Souzhu Open WTA 125 in China.

In what could have been a momentum breaker for the filipina as the game was delayed due to a rain, it did not stop Eala from giving a great performance in front of the crowd.

Despite the Poland representative’s eagerness for tying it three times in the third and final set, it was no other than the Philippine representative who claimed the victory after a tough match up between the two.

She beat Kawa with the final scores of 6-3, 3-6, 7-5.

She will now be advancing in the Round of 16; wherein she will face world no. 106 Greet Minnen of Belgium.

Back in her previous competition in Jingshan Open, she was eliminated by Lulu Sun of New Zealand at the semis.—Kyle Basa, Eurotv News
