Manila, Philippines – All business owners, employers, and self-employed workers, including private employers, will have the opportunity to settle their unpaid premium PhilHealth contributions from previous years.
This follows the announcement by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., granting a General Amnesty or one-time interest waiver for contributions unpaid from July 2013 to December 2024.
The President also clarified that these payments must be made within one year, or during 2026 only, without any penalties.
According to the President, this initiative aims to help PhilHealth members reactivate their membership so they can access benefits related to healthcare.
