Filipina drag queen Eva Le Queen has concluded her journey on “RuPaul’s Drag Race: Global All Stars” after being eliminated in the latest episode, which aired on Friday.
In the fourth episode, the remaining 10 queens were split into three teams to act out super trailers for the film spoof “Boobie: The Shequel,” drawing inspiration from “Barbie” and other movie universes.
Eva was part of the “FrankenBoobie” team alongside Tessa Testicle from Germany, Vanity Vain from Sweden, and Gala Varo from Mexico. She portrayed Pitchfork Boobie, described as a privileged “Karen” figure.
After viewing the super trailers, Eva remained humble about her performance. “I saw really great performances from the others so I’m not going to put my expectations too high up,” she remarked.
“Jurassic Boobie,” featuring USA’s Alyssa Edwards and the UK’s Kitty Scott-Claus, was declared safe, while Kween Kong from the Down Under franchise won the challenge. Unfortunately, Eva’s “FrankenBoobie” group, along with “Boobies of the Caribbean,” were up for elimination.
During the judges’ critiques, Carson Kressley and Jamal Sims noted that Eva’s portrayal of Pitchfork Boobie lacked consistency. “When I first saw you on screen, I thought, she’s got this. But then it kind of ebbed and flowed,” Kressley commented. Sims added, “I wanted it to be funny from start to finish, but sometimes you fell out of character.”
Michelle Visage praised Eva’s beauty but called her look “too simple,” saying, “When I think of drag on a global platform, I wanna see global drag. This just isn’t at your level.”
In the “Untucked” segment, Eva became emotional as she reflected on representing the hopes of many Filipinos. “I didn’t come 30 hours from the Philippines to be here not to give my all,” she said. “I have the eyes and hopes of an entire country resting on my shoulders.”
Eva faced Mexico’s Gala Varo in a lip sync battle to A-Ha’s “Take On Me,” where she finished in 10th place. In her farewell, Eva said, “Thank you so much for this opportunity… I’m gonna take it like a queen. Long live Le Queen.”
Eva Le Queen was the only Asian contestant in the first global edition of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Meanwhile, in the Philippines, “Drag Race Philippines” is currently in its third season. Precious Paula Nicole and Captivating Katkat were crowned winners in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
The Emmy Award-winning show has showcased the talents of many Filipino drag queens, both in the U.S. and globally, through various editions over the years.
