Felip, known as SB19’s main dancer and lead rapper Ken, is expanding his musical range as a solo artist with his latest album, “7sins.”
“7sins,” although not focused on religion, explores the human experience of recognizing and embracing flaws. The album guides listeners through a journey of honesty and acceptance of unspoken emotions, culminating in embracing one’s true self.
Released on July 5, “7sins” consists of nine tracks, with “Envy” as the lead single. The other songs represent various sins like wrath, greed, and pride, with the final track, “Ache,” addressing themes of redemption and acknowledgment.
The album showcases Felip’s versatility, blending genres and revealing different facets of his artistry.
Despite his busy schedule with SB19, Felip dedicated himself to writing, creating, and producing the album. Over seven months, he collaborated with Luke April of PlayerTwo and Isagani Palabyab in late-night sessions to bring the EP to life.
“7sins” features collaborations with notable artists, including Belgian-Filipino Cyra Gwynth, who Felip admires. Gwynth contributed to the emotionally charged track “Ggreed” and co-wrote and featured in “Lust.”
Another exciting collaboration on the album is with Warner Music Philippines’ PlayerTwo for the track “Gluttony.” Felip and PlayerTwo previously worked together on songs like “FLYYY” and “Pagdali.”
The release of “7sins” also marks the countdown to Felip’s solo concert on July 27, titled “7sins the Album Concert,” to be held at the Space at OneAyala, with thousands of fans expected to attend.
With Felip taking full creative control over “7sins,” fans will experience his unique influence, style, and artistry, whether streaming his music or seeing him perform live.
The singer expressed gratitude as top-tier tickets for his concert sold out within two minutes of public availability on June 24. Only a few general admission tickets remain available at felip.helixpay.ph. Superior Pass ticket holders will enjoy priority entry, a stage tour, a post-show send-off, exclusive merch, and freebies.
“7sins” is now available on major music streaming platforms, following Felip’s previously successful solo releases such as “Fake Faces,” “Kanako,” and his EP “COM.PLEX.”
