MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services reported on Thursday that the first storm in the Philippines for 2024 will probably enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility by next week.
According to weather specialist Rhea Torres, PAGASA has been monitoring the cloud clusters outside the PAR, which may transform into a low-pressure area in the next few days once they enter the PAR.
The LPA may affect parts of Mindanao through its trough.
The tropical storm will be named “Aghon.”.
Meanwhile, based on the monitoring of the weather bureau, the rest of the country may experience scattered rain, associated with thunderstorms in the northern part of Luzon.
Also, easterlies continue to affect the Philippines, bringing warm air from the Pacific Ocean.
While the rest of the country will experience fair weather until the following days.
