The Meralco Bolts are the first ever PBA Philippine Cup Champion and defeated the San Miguel Beer in Game 6 of the Season 48 Philippine Cup Finals with the score 80-78.
In the early minutes of the game, the Bolts lead the game by 17 points in the second quarter and needed to defend their lead at the Beermens in the second half to clinch the best-of-seven series.

With the victory at the Big Dome, the Bolts won their first championship since joining the league in the 2010-2011 season.
