FLASH FLOODS HIT METRO MANILA, BULACAN DUE TO HABAGAT

Manila, Philippines – Extreme flood was caught along España Boulevard in Quezon City, last sunday night, June 22, 2025, due to the heavy rain that was brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

Accordingly, the residents in Phase 2, Section 15, Pabahay 2000 in Brgy Muzon in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, were submerged in flood waters also because of the heavy downpour that was brought by the Southwest Monsoon yesterday afternoon.g

HABAGAT CONTINUES TO BRING RAINFALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), these areas particularly in Metro Manila and Bulacan are included in the places affected by Southwest Monsoon.

Based on the weather bureau, the directly affected areas include Metro Manila, CALABARZON, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Davao Region, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan.

These areas are expected to experience moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Additionally, the remaining areas in the country are expecting cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.

On the other hand, the tropical depression that is being monitored by PAGASA outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), is now developed into a Tropical Storm named ‘SEPAT’.
