Quezon City, Philippines – A heartwarming bond unfolded as the Gawad Pilipino Awards and EuroTV Philippines spent a meaningful day with the B’LAAN Tribe from General Santos City, November 21.
Leading the initiative was Dr. Danilo B. Mangahas, founder and chairman of Gawad Pilipino, who always been an advocate for indigenous people.
They visited Quezon City Memorial Park and the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center, where they engaged in various activities that fostered camaraderie and deeper connections, particularly among the B’LAAN children.
The gathering came fruition with the rhythm of tribal songs, the graceful movements of traditional dances, and the heartfelt cheers of the B’LAAN people.
Meanwhile, Gawad Pilipino and EuroTV Philippines staff were delighted by the genuine warmth of the tribe.
This special meeting was part of Gawad Pilipino Awards’ ongoing charity efforts and recognition to support indigenous communities.
