Manila, Philippines – Three Senators and closest allies of the Duterte administration: Christopher “Bong” Go, Robin Padilla, and Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa has filed a resolution towards the current situation of former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte in the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Duterte who was currently detained in the court at The Hague, Netherlands has worried the said senators since his arrest on March.
Based on their resolution, they urge the government to advocate a house arrest arrangement at a residence in the The Hague to ensure the safety of Duterte.

His current health condition and old age, which they stated was ‘deteriorating further,’ were the factors.
“FRRD has drastically lost weight due to appetite loss and the cold weather, with his former spouse even remarking that he is already weak, having difficulty walking and is “skin and bones’ and does not look like his previous pictures,” they said.
Additionally, Duterte suffers a disorder and an autoimmune disease among others, according to Vice President Sara Duterte as attached in their proposed resolution.
Meanwhile, his social isolation from his loved ones also contributed to their move for the request.
Yesterday (July 14, 2025), Senator Alan Peter Cayetano has filed a similar resolution regarding the matter in which he requested the government for a house arrest arrangement in the PH Embassy in The Hague, as well as an interim release negotiation with the ICC.
