Senator Risa Hontiveros is once again calling on Kingdom of Jesus Christ Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to surrender to the authorities.
On his Facebook page, Hontiveros told Quiboloy that he must face the charges filed against him and the accusations attributed to him.
The Senator insisted that the pastor has nowhere to hide.
“Quiboloy, sumuko ka na. Cooperate with our law enforcers for once. Harapin mo na ang mga kaso at akusasyon. Wala ka nang pagtataguan.” posted on her social media.
Additionally, Hontiveros assured the leadership of the Philippine National Police that not a single police officer will be influenced by Quiboloy or any of his allies.
She mentioned former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in this context.
The Senator also urged Duterte not to cover up for the fugitive pastor and, if possible, to help track down Quiboloy.
“I am again calling on the PNP leadership to ensure that none of our officers are being influenced by Quiboloy or any of his allies, particularly the former President Duterte. Huwag narin sanang pagtakpan ni Duterte si Quiboloy. Tumulong nalang siyag tumunton kung nasan ang kaibigan niya.”
On June 10, 2024, the Philippine National Police served an arrest warrant on Quiboloy, but they failed to apprehend the pastor at his property in Buhangin district.
