From the beginning, the senator strongly opposed Li Duan Wang’s naturalization due to the weight of evidence indicating it should not be granted.
This included Li Duan Wang’s connection to illegal POGO operations, his possession of multiple taxpayer IDs, and his alleged ties to the Chinese Communist Party. According to Risa, all of these point to ill intent.
The lawmaker also believes that rejecting Li Duan Wang’s application upholds the country’s interests.
Furthermore, Hontiveros hopes the government will continue to investigate and provide justice to the victims of illegal POGO operations in the country.
