Manila, Philippines — Kasunod ng pagbuo ng Senado ng administrative support group bilang paghahanda sa impeachment trial vs. Vice President Sara Duterte, bumuo na rin ang House of Representatives ng impeachment secretariat na a-alalay sa mga prosecutors sa trial.
Sa ilalim ng memorandum Order No. 19-1006, itinalaga na ni House Secretary General Reginald Velasco ang mga opisina ng kamarang parte ng impeachment secretariat.
Pangungunahan ng Office of the Secretary General ang Secretariat, kung saan may tatlong opisyal ang kabilang dito.
Bukod dito, mayroon ding mga itinalagang opisyal mula sa OSG Support Staff, Office of the Sergeant-at-arms, at Information and Communications Technology Service na magbibigay ng support services on rotation basis.
Ayon kay Velasco, ilan sa mga magiging responsibilidad ng impeachment secretariat ay ang magbigay ng technical, logistical, at research support sa prosekyusyon na hahawak ng kaso.
