JET CRASH IN BANGLADESH KILLS 28 PEOPLE

After a military jet struck a school in Bangladesh on Monday (July 21, 2025), the number of fatalities, mostly children, has risen to 28.

At about 1:00 PM in Bangladesh, F-7 BGI aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force apparently lost control due to a mechanical issue while in flight.

Authorities report that classrooms for third and fourth graders were housed in the collapsed structure at Milestone School and College.

The accident injured about 165 people, who are presently receiving treatment in five hospitals, according to the nation’s health ministry.

Hundreds of students then staged a large-scale protest close to the accident site. They called for accurate statistics on the number of people killed and injured, accountability, and sufficient compensation for them and their families.

Hospitals are currently keeping an eye on the status of the 78 who are still healing. —Isa Estrellado, Contributor
