MANILA — Thai stars Jimmy Jitaraphol and Sea Tawinan treated their Filipino fans to a heartwarming celebration, marking the success of their boys’ love (BL) series, Last Twilight, during a special fan meeting in the Philippines.
The series follows the story of Mhok (played by Jimmy), a student who becomes the caretaker of Day (played by Sea), who is given just 90 days before he loses his sight completely.
Last Twilight recently garnered accolades from the ContentAsia Awards, Maya TV Awards, and the Asian Academy Creative Awards, further cementing its impact on audiences.
Reflecting on their achievements, Jimmy expressed his pride in the recognition they’ve received.
“I feel very fulfilled with this project because Last Twilight won awards, and this is the first time we’ve seen the clips of us receiving them,” he said.
Sea, moved by the fans’ overwhelming support, vowed to continue giving his best in future endeavors. “This project really touched my heart… I love you guys and I promise to do my best in all my future projects,” he shared.
Jimmy also emphasized how the awards, especially the fan-voted accolade, are proof that the series has deeply resonated with viewers.
“I’m very happy and proud of my team, especially P’Aof, our director, and the entire Last Twilight team.
One of the three awards was from a fan vote, which shows that the series has made a lasting impact on their hearts,” he said.
The boys’ love genre, which gained traction in the Philippines during the 2020 pandemic, continues to thrive, with numerous Filipino titles emerging in recent years.
