The Land Transportation Office will intensify its law enforcement on February 1 in relation with the Public Utility Modernization Program or PUVMP of Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board or LTFRB.
According to Lto Chief Vigor Mendoza II, their enforcers are enough to meet the full implementation of their anti colorumn campaign by the help of their regional offices.
Mendoza said that all PUV’s and PUJ’s who will not consolidate until January 31 will be considered as colorum.
According to LTO database a total of 42,000 registered public transportation in their office but there are only 22,000 who registered.
Although their impounding areas in their main office and other regional offices are already full, they can catch a thousand vehicles per day by the time the agency’s other impounding areas are opened.
The official said public vehicle are considered colorum if they are not consolidated.
And the unit they must be registered in LTO to be included as private vehicles.
