Manila, Philippines – The City Government of Manila has received a donation of medical supplies valued at over ₱5.2 million, amid the ongoing health and financial challenges faced by the city.
This comes after Mayor Moreno confirmed that public hospitals under the care of the Manila City Government are nearly depleted of medical supplies.
Mayor Isko Moreno personally accepted the donation comprising more than 120,000 pieces of essential medical items—including examination gloves, surgical tape, and IV cannulas from Alvez Commercial Inc.
According to Isko, the supplies will be promptly distributed to six public hospitals and 44 health centers across the city.
He expressed his gratitude to the donors and underscored the importance of transparency in government, especially in times of crisis.
