Manila, Philippines – Opisyal ng inanunsyo bilang bahagi ng International Boxing Hall of Fame class of 2025 ang 8-division champion at ang “Pambansang Kamao” ng Pilipinas na si Manny Pacquiao.
Matapos ang isang kahanga-hangang karera na tumagal ng apat na dekada, nakamit ni Pacquiao ang world titles sa walong weight classes, kabilang ang flyweight, lightweight, at welterweight.
Nagtapos naman ito sa rekord na 62 panalo, 8 talo, at 2 draw, kasama ang 39 knockouts.
“I am so happy that I have been selected to enter the International Boxing Hall of Fame. This certainly is a wonderful Christmas gift. Throughout my career, as a professional fighter and a public servant, it has been my goal to bring honor to my country, the Philippines, and my fellow Filipinos around the world,” pahayag ni Pacquiao sa Hall of Fame’s website nang ma-elect nitong Huwebes (Disyembre 5, 2024).
“Today, I am humbled knowing that in June, I will receive boxing’s highest honor, joining our national hero, Flash Elorde, as well as my trainer and friend Freddie Roach. I am very grateful to those who voted for me, and I look forward to celebrating with my friends, and fans at Induction Weekend in Canastota, New York,” dagdag pa ni Pacquiao kung saan isa rin siya sa magiging headliner.
Siya naman ang ikaapat na Filipino na makikilala sa prestihiyosong Hall of Fame, kasunod nina Flash Elorde, Pancho Villa, at Lope Sarreal.
Si Pacquiao ay opisyal na kikilalanin sa Hunyo 8, 2025.
