Marcos Delivers P100M in Aid to Ilocos Norte After Typhoon Julian’s Wrath

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. handed over P100 million in aid to Ilocos Norte on Friday, following the devastation caused by Typhoon Julian.

The financial assistance, sourced from the Office of the President, was presented to Governor Matthew Manotoc during the president’s visit to assess the damage.

Marcos, along with other government officials, also distributed cash assistance through the ‘Ayuda Para sa Kapos ang Kita’ (AKAP) program, providing relief to affected residents.

The distribution took place at the Metro Gabu Covered Court in Laoag City.

The AKAP program has been actively rolled out across different areas of the province.

In Piddig, 2,000 residents received financial support, while Pagudpud and Bangui saw 500 and 300 recipients, respectively.

During his visit, President Marcos also conducted an aerial survey to get a more comprehensive view of the damage caused by the typhoon.
