MANILA, Philippines – The Office of the President has requested a smaller budget for the coming year, according to the 2025 National Expenditure Program (NEP).
The proposed allocation is 200 million pesos lower than its 2024 budget request.
Based on the NEP released by the Department of Budget and Management, the Office of the President is seeking 10.4 billion pesos for 2025, compared to its 10.6 billion pesos request for the previous year.
The spending plan for 2025 shows that around 1.2 billion pesos is allocated for personnel services, 7.9 billion pesos for maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE), and 1.2 billion pesos for capital outlay.
Meanwhile, the Office of the President maintained its request for confidential and intelligence funds at 4.56 billion pesos, with 2.250 billion pesos earmarked for confidential funds and 2.310 billion pesos for intelligence. This amount has remained unchanged since 2022.
