MANILA — It’s official! Filipino-American pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo is set to perform in Manila for a one-night concert this October, as announced by Live Nation Philippines on Tuesday.
The highly anticipated show will take place on Saturday, October 5, at the Philippine Arena. Ticket sales for the event will begin on September 14 at 10 a.m.
All net proceeds from ticket sales will go toward Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good, a global initiative dedicated to “creating a more just and equitable future for women and girls” by supporting community-based nonprofits that focus on girls’ education, reproductive rights, and efforts to prevent gender-based violence.
“All tickets for the Manila concert will be sold as Silver Star Tickets, priced at P1,500, inclusive of taxes, with a purchase limit of four tickets per buyer. These seats will be located next to each other, but the exact seat locations will only be revealed upon ticket pick-up starting on September 28. Fans will receive tickets at random, with seat assignments covering all areas of the venue, including limited view seats, lower and upper levels, as well as the floor section,” stated Live Nation Philippines in a social media post.
In her Instagram Stories, Rodrigo shared her excitement, noting that this will mark her first-ever visit to the Philippines.
The Manila concert is part of her “GUTS” tour, which spans Asia and Australia. Rodrigo will be touring across Asia from September 16 to October 1, before heading to Australia for additional shows from October 9 to 18.
Rodrigo, born in California to a Filipino father and a German-Irish mother, had previously expressed her desire to hold a concert in the Philippines. The Grammy Award-winning artist is known for hit singles like “drivers license,” “traitor,” and “deja vu.” Her latest album, “GUTS,” was released last year.
