OVER 200 INDIVIDUALS CHARGED FOR DISRUPTING RALLIES IN MANILA

Manila, Philippines – A total of 216 individuals, involved in causing disturbances and mingling with protesters in Manila yesterday, are set to face legal charges today.

Reports indicate that the arrested suspects include 127 adults and 89 minors, who have been brought to MPD Station 14 and the MPD Headquarters for further investigation.

Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno stated that these individuals will be held accountable for the disruptions they caused to the private sector and the community.

According to Moreno, the incident caused inconvenience and posed risks to those not involved in the chaos.

Authorities have confirmed that the acts of vandalism included the burning of motorcycles, destruction of traffic lights, and vandalizing both private and public properties.

Furthermore, nearly 100 police officers were injured during the incident.

Mayor Moreno urged the parents of the arrested minors to cooperate and identify those responsible for instigating the unrest.

The investigation is ongoing, and the mayor has encouraged the community to stay vigilant against groups that promote disorder.
