Manila, Philippines – The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) announced that the 5,000 increase of monthly allowances for Philippine national athletes and coaches has been approved.
This will start in August 2025.
The increase in allowance is to ensure athletes and coaches to further focus on their training and preparation.
The move was discussed last July 8, wherein PSC chairperson Patrick “Pato” Gregorio talks about the survival of the athletes if they will only have limited budget allowance.
Meanwhile to improve processing efficiency of required documents, PSC also streamlined a notarized Monthly Training Certification (MTAC), instead of the previous daily report the beneficiaries need to accomplish. – Kyle Basa, Contributor
