PBBM BRINGS GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE TO TYPHOON-AFFECTED FAMILIES IN MASBATE 

Masbate, Philippines – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. led the distribution of various forms of aid from different government agencies to typhoon-affected families and individuals in Masbate Province. 

This after widespread damage caused by Severe Tropical Storm Opong recently hit the country. 

The President along with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), 

600 families received P10,000 each from the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS). 

Two Checks amounting PhP34.8 million from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region V were given to the Provincial Government of Masbate for Livelihood Assistance and Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program, benefitting 6,455 individuals in 11 municipalities in Masbate. 

The DSWD also brought food packs, hygiene kits, 10-meter laminated sacks, and water filtration kits. 

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) also sent grocery items.
