PH-CHINA, HONORS LONG-STANDING FRIENDSHIP AMID 50TH DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS

Manila, Philippines – Amid the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the Philippines, Beijing and Manila recognized the important role of friendship between the two countries.

In a program of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Incorporated, Ministry Counselor Wang Yu Lei of the Chinese Embassy in Manila said that the role of dialogue between Beijing and Manila is important, instead of confrontation.

Amidst the issues and conflicts particularly in the West Philippine Sea.

According to the Chinese official, the youth also have a role to play in combating misinformation and prejudice in Beijing’s view of bilateral relations between the two countries.

On the side of the Department of Foreign Affairs, dialogues between the two countries continue towards diplomacy.

Manila’s relations with Beijing have continued for the past five decades towards peace, and understanding which is the basis of values and sovereignty of both countries.

Bilateral relations between the Philippines and China were signed on June 9, 1975 under the administration of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos Jr.

Despite the continued aggressive behavior of Chinese ships in the disputed territory in the West Philippine Sea, the DFA continues to maintain diplomatic channels to resolve the dispute peacefully. – Alvin Pelobello, Eurotv News
