In a tweet from Maritime Security Expert Ray Powell, it shows that a Chinese Coast Guard 5205 has converged with and shadowed the Philippine Coat Guard vessels namely BRP Cabra and BRP Sindangan near the Sabina Shoal.
Powell said in his twit, on January 19, CCG 5205 has interposed itself between two PCG Ships at the Second Thomas Shoal.
Yesterday, January 21, same CCG has intercept the same PCH ships heading its way to Southeast, returning to the port of Palawan.
The Maritime Law expert added that these encounters occured during the 3-day Patroling of PCG in the West Philippine Sea.
A report came after that the Philippine Military has used an airdrop mission to delivers the supplies to BBP Sierra Madre stationed at the Ayunging or Second Thomas Shoal.
The Department of Foreign Affairs, and the PCG has yet to release any statements regarding this new encounter.
But in a seperate video, Chinese Coast Guard Ships harrassed the groups of Filipino fishermen collecting sea Shells in the area of Bajo De Masinloc.
PCG Spokesperson to the West Philippine Sea have confirmed that the incident happened last January 12.
The fishermen were instructed by CCG to return the shells they have gathered and was driven away by the CCG.
According to the PCG’s informant, five CCG personnel on board of a rubber boat have driven away the Filipinos.
Four of CCG personnel have disembarked and chased after the fishermen.
He also said that one personnel from CCG grabed the fishing boat and prevented the Filipino Fishermen to depart unless they threw back the sea shells.
The PCG confirms they are still conducting an investigation regarding the incident.
