Senator Robin Padilla wants to investigate the operation of the Philippine National Police on the property of Kingdom of Jesus Christ pastor Apollo Quiboloy on June 10, 2024.
In the submitted Senate Resolution no. 1051, Padilla intends to find out if there was a violation of human rights in serving an arrest warrant against Quiboloy in Buhangin District.
The KOJC condemned the PNP operation. Missionaries of the church reported that some of their comrades were hurt by the tension during the PNP’s attempt to enter the compound.
On June 10, more than 100 PNP authorities, including the Special Action Force (SAF) and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), delivered the warrant of arrest.
The resolution states that the authorities entered some of the pastor’s properties, including Prayer and Glory Mountain in Barangay Tamayong.

The PNP insisted that the operation was legal, that they followed the legal security protocol, and that both parties were given respect.
KOJC members testified that the police used unnecessary and unrestrained force during the operation.
Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte issued a statement saying that the illegal raid by the PNP clearly violated the law.
As the current administrator of KOJC, the organization is preparing affidavits from aggrieved and traumatized members of KOJC.
