PRESIDENT MARCOS MARKS SECOND DAY OF STATE VISIT TO CAMBODIA 

Phnom Penh, Cambodia — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and first Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos started the second day of State Visit to Cambodia by participating in a wreath laying ceremony at the Independence Monument in the capital Phnom Penh.

The President and the First Lady arrived at the Independence Monument on Monday morning for the ceremony to honor Cambodia’s independence.

The President also participated in a wreath laying ceremony at the adjacent Monument of the Late King-Father of Cambodia, His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk.

After the wreath laying ceremonies, the First Couple were welcomed by Acting Head of State and Senate President Hun Sen, along with his wife, Madame Bun Rany Hun Sen, at the Official Welcome Ceremony at the Peace Palace.

On September 8, 2025, President Marcos and Prime Minister Hun Manet made separate statements following the signing and exchange of three agreements at the Peace Palace in Cambodia.

As part of his State Visit, President Marcos, accompanied by the Philippine delegation, held a bilateral meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and his team to enhance cooperation and address regional issues.
