Pasig city, Philippines — Three weeks since his hospitalization, a Pasig City court ordered the transfer of detained Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy back to Pasig City Jail Male Dormitory.
Quiboloy’s return to the Pasig Jail is set on February 12, 2025, his lawyer Israelito Torreon confimed on Thursday.
It can be recalled that Quiboloy was rushed to the hospital on January 18 due to complains of difficulty in breathing, and was soon diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia.
For the last three weeks, the 74 year-old pastor was allowed by the Pasig court to be admitted in a private hospital to monitor his condition.
Following the transfer order, Torreon expressed disappointment over the abrupt decision.
“Medyo hindi kami masyado happy doon, kasi meron kaming iba pong motion ipa-file naman that would be based on his condition and his unique circumstance as a person,” he said.
In November 2024, Quiboloy was detained in Pasig City Jail Male Dormitory for qualified human trafficking, as well as child and sexual abuse charges.
