Manila, Philippines – As the Philippine Cup Finals 2025 of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is near, the stars of each team expressed their gratitude and honor.
CJ Perez of the San Miguel Beermen dedicates his journey to the finals for the youth.
He said in his post on Facebook, he is playing for the children who lack connections, budget, yet full of passion that still wants to play in the big leagues — to never give up on their dreams.
Perez started playing basketball in his hometown, Pangasinan, and fell in love with the game. He later went to Manila and played for the Lyceum Pirates.
Meanwhile, Calvin Oftana of the TNT Tropang 5G is hungry for a championship despite his team lacking players due to injuries.
Calvin Oftana, RR Pogoy, Rey Nambatac, Jayson Castro, and Kelly Williams were injured.
With the team not being 100% head-on due to being outnumbered, he is still unfazed by the situation.
He said that he and the team should go all-out and must be prepared — physically and mentally.
Game one of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals will be held at Smart Araneta Coliseum, July 13. –Kyle Basa, Contributor
