SEN. IMEE NAMES LAWMAKERS TO BE ‘CHARGED’ OVER FLOOD CONTROL MESS ON JAN. 15

Manila, Philippines – After hinting about alleged ICI disbandment, Senator Imee Marcos drops new revelations, naming lawmakers to be charged this month over links with flood control anomalies.

In an interview, Marcos said that based on the information she received, three senators and three lawmakers will be charged by January 15.

Marcos named them as senators Jinggoy Estrada and Joel Villanueva, as well as former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.

It can be recalled that these names were implicated in the flood control mess during the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee’s inquiry.

Villanueva and Revilla also face separate charges before the Department of Justice over the same issue, which they countered last Monday.

Marcos, meanwhile, added that there is still direct evidence linking other senators–namely Chiz Escudero, Mark Villar, former senator Nancy Binay, and Grace Poe–over the issue.

Aside from senators, Marcos revealed that there are also lawmakers from the House of Representatives that are expected to be charged as well this month.

This includes CWS partylist Rep. Edwin Gadiola, Benguet Rep. Eric Yap, and ACT CIS Partylist Rep. Edvic Yap.

Marcos jabbed on why senators are being implicated over the mess when the issue supposedly first stemmed in the lower chamber and from the speaker.

Despite these claims, Marcos declined to name or disclose where she got these information.--Mia Layaguin, Eurotv News
