SENIOR CITIZENS ‘DAY CARE CENTERS’ BILL FILED TO HOUSE OF THE REPRESENTATIVES

Manila Philippines – A bill aiming to establish community based Daycare Centers for Senior Citizens has been filed in the House of the Representatives.

In the filing of House Bill (HB) No. 10362, United Senior Citizens Party-list Representative Milagros Aquino-Magsaysay said the day care centers will offer educational, health, and socio-cultural programs and services for senior citizens.

Various social services such as art games, storytelling, field trips, and outings are also available at the facilities.

It also aims to provide all United Senior Citizens in each barangay with a place where they can be active, given special care and love.

Meanwhile, the funding for the daycare centers will come from the allocation of the respective local government units (LGUs). They can also accept donations.
