SINGLE RFID STICKER NOW USABLE ACROSS ALL LUZON EXPRESSWAYS

Manila, Philippines – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. led the launch of the “One RFID, All Tollways” initiative on Tuesday, a major step toward easing travel and reducing congestion on Luzon’s toll expressways. Under the new system, motorists will only need one RFID sticker to access all major toll roads across the region.

In his speech, President Marcos emphasized the importance of listening to public concerns and taking action to address them.

He added that this reform is part of the government’s broader effort to modernize and improve infrastructure to better serve the needs of the public.

Under the new policy, motorists can choose between Autosweep or Easytrip RFID systems and use their preferred account across key expressways including:

TPLEX, Skyway, Skyway Stage 3, SLEX, NAIAX, MCX, and STAR Tollway

Acting Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez explained that the system had already undergone a “stress test” and was fully operational.

Motorists currently using both RFID systems can register online to consolidate their accounts into just one. They may also opt to remove the unused sticker. Registration is free, and walk-ins are accepted. However, Lopez clarified that switching to a single RFID is optional.

Currently, only individual accounts are eligible for the unified RFID system. Group and corporate accounts are expected to be included by early 2026.

The initiative is part of the Toll Collection Interoperability Project, which began in 2017, involving the Department of Transportation (DOTr), TRB, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Land Transportation Office (LTO), in collaboration with San Miguel Corporation (SMC) Group and Metro Pacific Group.

Acting Secretary Lopez expressed gratitude to the private sector for their cooperation.

Metro Pacific Investments Corporation Chairman and CEO Manny V. Pangilinan responded,

The government expects the One RFID system to significantly reduce travel time and enhance the overall driving experience for millions of Filipino motorists.
