SMB ON ITS WAY TO PBA 2025 FINALS AFTER BEATING GINEBRA

Manila, Philippines – The San Miguel Beermen are now on their way to the PBA Cup Finals 2025 after they beat their sister company, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.

After a long-awaited game seven, the fans were thrilled to be watching such a game.

The Beermen completed a 10-point comeback after they were down in the second half.

Despite getting injured in the first half, Jun Mar “The Kraken” Fajardo managed to stay in the game as the main guy of the team.

He put up an outstanding 21 points with 19 rebounds, where he dominated in the paint both offensively and defensively.

LA Tenorio had a huge game six with his vintage performance. This Do-or-Die game, veteran guard Chris Ross of the San Miguel gave it his all — produced an impressive 19 points with four steals.

He was in the crucial minutes of the final quarter wherein he stole the ball to Stephen Holt — a potential momentum-gainer of Ginebra as he was about to score in the paint.

His quick lateral movements gave his team an advantage as he was fresh and not able to play in game six.

He was motivated due to LA Tenorio’s playing time in game six — being able to contribute and force a game seven, despite being way past his prime years.

With that, he and his comrades sealed their victory with the final score of 100 – 93.

It will be a battle of the ages: TNT Tropang 5G —who are hungry to win and be titled Grand Slam Champion, and San Miguel Beermen — who are eager to claim the throne.

The PBA Philippine Cup Finals game one will be held on July 13, Sunday. —Kyle Basa, Contributor
