SON OF HOLLYWOOD FILMMAKER FACES MURDER CHARGE OVER KILLING PARENTS

Los Angeles, California — The son of a veteran Hollywood filmmaker has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder following the fatal stabbing of his parents in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles authorities say 32-year-old Nick Reiner is found by investigation of killing his father, acclaimed American comedian actor and director Rob Reiner, and his mother, photographer and producer Michele Reiner, inside their LA home over the weekend.

Rob Reiner was a renowned figure in American film and television, best known for directing Hollywood classic movies such as “The Princess Bride” and “A Few Good Men.”

Meanwhile, the film “When Harry Met Sally” is where he met her wife, producer Michele.

As an actor, he was remembered for his role on TV comedy hit, “All in the Family”.

Going back, investigators confirmed that a knife was used in the attack, though officials have not released details about a possible motive.

On the other hand, several US media reported that Nick Reiner had an argument with his parents during a holiday party before the incident happened.

Meanwhile, whether he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol still also could not be determined.

It can be recalled, Nick has previously spoken publicly about his long struggle with substance abuse and multiple stints in rehabilitation beginning in his teenage years.

Nick Reiner could face life in prison without the possibility of parole.

He is currently in jail.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump mocked the death of Rob Reiner, describing it as a result of his Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), which is widely used as an irrational and disconnected term to people who are against his positions.

Rob Reiner was also widely recognized for his strong Democratic views.
