MANILA,PHILIPPINES – Malacañang Palace has declared June 24, 2024 as a special non-working day in the City of Manila.
It was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin where stated in Proclamation No. 599 that the citizens of the City of Manila should be given the opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy such celebration.
The City of Manila will mark the celebration of its 453rd founding anniversary on June 24, 2024.
The said proclamation was signed today, June 19.
In this regard, the 163rd birthday of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal
Representatives from different commissions and organizations such as National Historical Commission of the Philippines, National Parks Development Committee, The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons in the Philippines, and Order of the Knights of Rizal also joined the wreath-laying at the historical park in the city.
