SWS REPORTS DECLINE IN PBBM, VP SARA’S TRUST RATINGS

Manila, Philippines – Amid the issue of corruption in the country, it is only natural for the public to demand transparency and accountability from public officials, particularly from the two highest officials of the country–President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

And after the nation-wide protest last September 21, Social Weather Stations reported a decline in both the trust scores received by PBBM and VP Sara.

Based on the September SWS report, 43% of Filipinos have “much trust” to PBBM, 5 points lower compared to his trust scores last June.

His highest trust ratings were from Balance Luzon with 51%, NCR with 46%, 40% from Visayas, and 27% from Mindanao.

The survey revealed 36% of Filipinos with little trust to Marcos, while 21% were undecided.

Following this, Malacañang welcomed the results, saying that this reflects that the public values the service and performance of the President.

In a statement, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro said that while Marcos does not focus on numbers, these results boosts the performance of the administration as the public ‘appreciates’ its efforts.

On the other hand, VP Sara’s trust scores aldo drop in Spetember, but remains higher than of Marcos’.

53% expressed much trust in Duterte, dropping from 61% last June.

Her highest trust scores were from the Duterte-territory Mindanao with 82%, followed by Visayas with 56%, 44% from NCR, while 40% from Balance Luzon.

28% had little trust in Duterte, while 18% were undecided.

In a chance interview in Zamboanga City on Wednesday, Duterte said that she cannot speculate on the reason for the decline, but expressed commitment to continue efforts and service to the Filipinos.—Mia Layaguin, Eurotv News
